Five things I thought about during my morning run:
1. The Tudors. Finished up the dvd's that Christy lent me. So sad for Queen Anne. I knew it was coming, of course, have seen it and read about over and over again. But it was done so well in the Tudors. Very touching. 2. King Henry and that pie. Ewwww. 3. I really like Old Navy. Had a really good shopping trip with Robin and the girls. All set for school. 4. Breathing. It's so hard in this humidity. 5. I am almost at 3 miles, my goal for the summer. I think if I get up earlier and run,...

1. It still feel like I am slogging my way through water. The low humidity of Denver spoiled me. 2. I really love Nickel Creek. 3. Deana bringing me blackberries. Gonna make a pie. Had blackberry pancakes this morning. Mmmm. Thanks Deana, 4. Thinking about Obama's health care plans. Trying to get clear and accurate information. So many people I know are just parroting what the media is telling them—whether it's NPR or Fox. We need to think our way through this. It's too...

1. How the humidity is not my friend. 2. Going to Sherando with Christy. I've already been asked twice this morning about it. Much excitement in the house. 3. Mixed feelings about school starting next week. In a way, I really sorry the girls are starting school so early. In another way, I really need them to be at school so I can write. I've not been able to really write for months and it's such a part of my psychological and spiritual health. That said, I really DID need a...

1. The Facebook world and rules of conduct. Do they exist? Or is almost anything a go? I mean, don't manners apply everywhere? 2. I've not heard back from that reporter. I know I am meeting her tomorrow–but I was waiting on a call about the photo. No call yet. 3. Was going to try to get to Pa. this week, but since this interview (and photo shoot) has come up, I can't manage it. I'll be feeling the wrath of my mother for weeks. 4. The book being featured this week on...

1. Yes, I ran, but only half my distance. Moving helps with the pain. It really does. It's when you sit too long that it hurts. (I am taking an Irish dance class this weeks.) 2. I LOVE the fact that Emily is teaching this yoga-kind of class last during the day. The first thing Emma said to me was "I fell asleep in class. She made us lie there for 8 minutes." I told Emily that's quite an accomplishment to get Emma to lie still. Emma and I talked it about it later and I told her...

1. Love Sick, a book about sexual addiction. Fascinating read and absolutely poetic in sections. This book has a lot to say about all addictions, really. 2. Bono is really my soul mate. I've told my husband that for years. He just shrugs. 3. Tink and her stuffed bunny. She loves that thing and carries it around the house. Yesterday she and Violet played with it. She was so gentle with Violet. It was so sweet. 4. Wondering if the bath tub guys will really be here at 8:30. We are...
